Day 08: A New Door, The Trews, Super Hard Games

We had some work done on our house today. We recently discovering a place where moisture had been getting into and destroying the subfloor under and wall around our sliding door leading to the backyard (a problem that has clearly existed long before we moved in here last summer). Priority number one for the summer became replacing the back door and repairing the damaged wood and preventing this from being a problem again in the future. Although not completely finished at this point, the floor and wall are fixed and the door is in. A few minor things for the guys to wrap up on Monday.

Got an amazing CD in the mail today. Over the past few months, I've been using Spotify to listen to the new album by the Trews. It's very rare for me to find an album by anyone that I enjoy ever track from start to finish. This album is the first time this has happened since Mat Kearney's Young Love from 2011. A few weeks ago, I decided to go ahead and buy a physical copy of this album (yes, I still buy CDs) but it was going to run me something like 28 bucks on Amazon. No way. Luckily I found one on eBay for a much more reasonable price.

A friend sent me an article today that hit a little close to home. If you've got a few minutes to spare, I'd encourage you to check out "A Grown-Ass Man's Guide to Super-Hard Old Nintendo Games."

The Summer of Tim continues...
