You know, this one.
Well, we all know that where there's game systems...there's also games. Having recently sold her house, my mother-in-law has been packing up and, sure enough, came up with a healthy stash of Sega Genesis games.
While I can't wait to let John Starks loose on the NBA Jam world (BOOM SHAKALAKA!), you might notice that one of these things is not like the others.
Yep. Barney.
I have to admit, I am kind of curious about this game. I'm sure it's pretty basic and geared towards pre-schoolers, but if Sega Genesis screams "1990s", Barney screams it a little bit louder. Combining the two might just put me back into a pair of Skidz.
Speaking of Barney...ever heard the theory that he's distantly related to Grimace from McDonaldLand?

No question. He totally is.
Also included in these Sega games was Sonic & Knuckles.
I can't say I'm overly familiar with this specific rendition of Sonic, but I'm completely intrigued by the "revolutionary Lock-on technology."

A big thanks to my brothers-in-law who have unknowingly (unwillingly?) fueled my nerd fire...again.
OH! HOLD UP! I forgot to mention that I found out today (thanks, Greg) that Vanilla Ice is playing this year's Decatur Celebration. Forty minutes away and free.
I've seen him play before (of course I have)...

...but this give me the perfect chance to wear the shirt my brother gave me for Christmas last year.
In other news, in last night's apparent after-bedtime-battle between Mason and Pillow, Pillow was victorious.

The Summer of Tim continues...
