Day 61: Sand Cat, Vicious Bird, Coal Men

We spent a good amount of time at the beach today collecting tiny shells and soaking up the sun.

The excitement came as Anna had half of a sandwich snatched out of her hand by a hungry sea gull. And by excitement I mean it scared her half to death.

But she and Charlotte did make a sand sculpture.

It's a cat.

Named Shelly.

Because it has a collar made of shells.

I heard two teenage girls on the beach say it looked like a crab.

Those two teenage girls weren't very smart.

. . .

The house we're staying in has Charter Cable and I've been annoyed by this commercial a handful of times this week.

As a life-long fan of hip-hop, I assure you ... there is no way that guy is really beatboxing.

. . .

While we were making dinner tonight, I noticed Anna daydreaming as she looked at the water out the front window.

I'd love to know what she was thinking about.

. . .

The Coal Men have a new album coming out next month and they've been releasing previews of some of the new tracks this week.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- if you're not listening to The Coal Men, that's your problem.
