Bob Sacamano, Eric B & Rakim, Deck Stain

DAY 28 -- When I was a kid, I met the son of one of my mom's high school friends who happened to be my age and have similar interests in sports and Mad Magazines. He and I wrote letters back and forth for a few years and often decorated the outside of the envelopes with random artwork -- often a scene from Spy vs Spy.

Tonight I put together a package of stuff to send to a friend in New York who has often referred to me as the Bob Sacamano to his Cosmo Kramer. For those unfamiliar with obscure Seinfeld trivia, WikiSein describes Bob Sacamano this way: "He is never seen in any of the episodes, but through Cosmo Kramer's accounts, he is the source of bizarre anecdotes, and is known to frequently give esoteric information and harebrained ideas."

That sounds about right.

Anyway, I had to throw back to the late 80s as I put this package together -- properly decorating it with a cartoon image of Eric B & Rakim from a book I wasn't aware existed until last night.

Needless to say the Hip Hop Coloring Book will be here in a few days.

. . .

One of the many projects I needed to tackle this summer was staining/sealing the decks on the back of our house -- hence, yesterday's power washing job.

Today was the day to go after the decks that were looking pretty bland.

One more thing off my list.
